I watched this video and I see these comments and the word Redneck comes to mind. If this were truly the land of the free then you should be able to put whatever flag you want up in whatever order. There are too many stupid rules made just to keep people from being offended. What is all this foreigner bashing? If you are an illegal alien then you are a criminal. If you are here legally from another country and are trying to integrate yourself into our society then good for you! If our forefathers didn't do the same then we wouldn't be here either. What is wrong with helping that journey by easing the communication barrier. I am a veteran and have been to other countries. As far as I am concerned ours is the best by far and I consider myself lucky to be here. I don't care what other peoples opinion are whether they live here or not as long as they don't interfere with my freedom. It's not about a flag people it's about freedom. Where they hang there flag isn't going to affect that. It's good to be proud but bad to be prideful.
I do not want to get into a pissing match, but you are joking right? There is one primary reason why you cannot do this in the United States. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW. If you do not understand that, then I worry if your sentiment is propagating amongst the masses.
Oh, and that flag is a direct representation of OUR FREEDOM. You, a "vet", should know that above all. "White signifies Purity and Innocence; Red, Hardiness and Valor; Blue signifies Vigilance, Perseverance and Justice." George Washington is credited for saying: "We take the stars from Heaven, the red from our mother country, separating it by white stripes, thus showing that we have separated from her, and the white stripes shall go down to posterity representing Liberty." All of these attributes were developed and implemented based upon one fight, a fight for the FREEDOM that you have flippantly disregarded, but takes hold in OLD GLORY.
The flag is more than an iconic symbol that represents nothing but our country. The flag represents and is a constant reminder of the blood shed by all people within this country in their attempt to make it a better place to live for themselves and their families. It is sacred to a point. It is a direct representation of a belief in a better life, future, and opportunity.
To show such disrespect to the flag and the people who are represented by that flag by flying it under another nation's flag while in the United States is defiance towards the government. "We the people..." are that government. So those jerkwads are in defiance of my beliefs, and by damned will I stand by and watch such a testimony of ignorance without properly providing an education of the highest degree.
