This is mainly for you Cal. folks.  My wife and I were in San Deigo last week visting our daughter.  We saw some intersting sites that makes you want to say Huh or what the @#$%.

Please explain the following.

1)  If you have 6 lanes across on I15, how do you have an accident when there are few cars on the road.  The accident was north of Rt78.

2)  Why are there no mile markers on the highways.

3)  Why is it that when the temp was in the mid to low 60's, people were wearing heavy coat and flipflops.

I think the last one was the combination of the flipflops, and the heavy coat.

blind spot with no traffic then with oncoming car in near lane? Driver changed lanes caused accident.  Driver was unaware. Just a possibility of what could of happened.
Hand to head cell phone use in a vehicle ends in CA. 7/08.

Flip flops on beach....normal. In case you didn't know, on the shore areas on the west coast, its common for the fog to move in at night and early morning. It's a wet cold feeling. I don't know if you are referring to day or night but it can come in fast without a warning. I bring a coat along with me even if the weather predits 75+ near the beach. San Diego is foggy often during the year.

Thanks TC.  Ok I'll go with your answers but it's still pretty interesting about the coat and flipflops.  Being from a Mid Atlantic state, we normally wear sweaters at night when it gets cool.  I do have to say that I do like to visit San Deigo.
