Master Power Brakes in N. Car nothin' but hassles
« on: October 19, 2007 - 04:58:25 PM »
Some of this has already been heard on this board, but for those who missed it I want to give the entire story.

I bought a booster and mstr cyl for Hemi based on there recom. Does not fit  and they could not refund money, too far passed refund period (ok fine)
Bought a new mstr cyl with a slight break for my troubles (good so far)
mstr cyl was wrong, (swapped for plastic Corvette style-ok its an upgrade)
Went to install with my Fine Lines from pro. vale and thread bottoms out before seating.
Went to NAPA to make a new line up but they can't match front thread from new mstr cyl and I have npo info to give them.

I was planning on going to one of the last shows of the year, Bud plant in Newark NJ and now I can't way pissed!

Ask alot of questions when buying from them. When Carmine own the place (years ago) it was mom and pop and you got what you needed. Buyer beware

You need to put the little cone type fitting into the master cylinder. This was the little cone that would hold the check ball and spring on a residual pressure valve. That cone will allow your line to tighten up before it bottoms out. Use them out of an old master cylinder if you can't find them at the auto parts store.  I put a screw into it then pull it out with a pliers.
