2 1970 Challengers for sale
« on: October 23, 2007 - 01:46:31 AM »
I hate to do it but my work schedule and time will not allow me to complete my projects. I have 2 1970 Challengers for sale.

Car 1 - This one was a 318 car originally but has a 340 in it now. The car is pretty complete all the electrical works and it does run and drive, I drove it home over a 100 miles a couple of years ago. The engine runs rough and will need a new distributor and maybe some valve work. The brakes seem to have lost pressure since it has been sitting. The interior is all there but rough. This car will need new front fenders, quarters, trunk pans, and the roof will need some TLC. There is a couple of spots in one of the forward frame rails where it has rusted through about the size of a quarter. The trunk rails all need to be replaced.
Yes this car is very rusty and is going to be a lot of work for someone but it is salvageable and there are a lot of good parts on it. My original gameplan was to use this car for parts, fasteners etc, and reference while putting the other one back together.

Car 2 - This is another 318 auto car. Originally Sublime. I have done a lot of work on the body, new lower quarters, new trunk pans, new floors. The car still needs a lot of bodywork but all of the hard stuff is done. I have the original Flat Hood that is not in the pictures. It is in good shape if one wanted to use it. I have almost everything you will need to put this car together including a fresh from the machine shop 440.

The 440 is a 1968 , (not pictured) and it has been bored 30 over and decked, magnafluxed and checked out by one of the best machine shops in VA. The rods have been done with new bolts already installed and the 906 heads are ready to bolt on, they have all new valves, springs and seats, locks etc. The heads have also been re-surfaced. The Crank has also been turned, checked and polished. The engine only needs a rebuild kit with pistons and rings and it will be ready to start putting back together. There is no carb, ignition or pulleys but I do have the original intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds.

727 Tranny, completely rebuilt with a shift kit. It was rebuilt last year and has not been used.

I have the rear glass and door and qrtr glass but no widshield for this car.
All of the trim is present and in pretty good shape (nice vinyl top trim) wheel well trim is driver quality.

I have a lot..LOT of extras
2 dashes standard instruments
1 ralley Cluster
2 Center consoles
3 Doors in great shape
Quarter skin pass side
extra 8&34 rear end
BRAND NEW ESPO 1 inch over leaf springs still in shipping wrap (with shackle kit)
Spare Trunk deck lid Good Shape
1 complete K frame with disc brakes and sway bar upper and lower control arms. (will need new rotors and calipers)
1 K-Frame
2 disc spindles with original KH calipers
Power brake peal assy
2nd power booster and master cylinder (different than the one in the picture)
Disc proportioning valve
2 sets of front bucket seats (1) is 70 and the other is 72
Front and rear bumpers (rough)

I am sure I have a lot of stuff that I am forgetting but this is all for now, I will add more later.

I want to sell the whole lot together both cars and all of the parts which will make one real nice car. I have both titles clear and in hand.
Come to VA with a BIG truck and get it all for $9750.00

Ben

I have more pics
