Merry christmas to me
« on: May 17, 2012 - 12:52:01 AM »
Hey all.

So I figured that I should probably start this to keep track of my progress or lack of on my 74 cuda.
since getting it around christmas this past year I have just been tinkering with it a bit. mainly doing research and trying to figure out which way I want to go with it.  My life right now since getting home from my second deployment has been kind of hectic trying to catch up on things...Still. As well as helping one of my buddies on his 71 firebird.
I bought this car running and driving being so called "restored 12 years ago" from a guy that bought it from the guy... My two good buddies have affectionately nemed it lumpy due to the paint being nice but the prep being not so nice. So far I have changed all the fluids and greasing. As well as a full run through inspection, tightening all sorts of loose nuts and bolts and changing a tie rod end and the idler arm. After that I put in a 3.23 posi chunk and a cast iron 4 barrel intake and carter 650 carb. Right now I have the dash about completely apart chasing some grounding gremlins and replacing the radio that just decided to give up the ghost. I bought a b body rear to do that swap as I think the suspension will be first on my list as well as wheels and tires and then on to the brakes.

The goods on the cuda.
74 360 cuda originally red. now yellow
78 360- for right now.
numbers matching 727
8 3/4 with 3.23 suregrip
power stearing, power disk brakes,
a/c car but as normal everything in the engine bay is disconnected and mia.

A few more pics. Engine right after 4 barrel intake and carb installed. It's not pretty but it gets the job done. Also 1 pic of my jeep that me and my buds built... yeah that project, It kindof snowballed.
