My steering used to be very lose and it got to the point where it was steering more to the left than right. Actually so much that it rubbed the frame and upper control arms when turning left. I went to napa and just ordered a new box for a 73 cuda. Its alots stiffer than most muscle cars ive driven and only costs about $140. However if you want to pay over double for a new sports car feel I guess try the firm feel. If you had a really good suspension I could definatly see buying the firmfeel box. What im getting at is your cars is not going to handle like a viper form a steering box.

no, but hopefully you could improve on the factory feather-touch over boosted steering without having to shell out $300-$400 for a new Firm Feel box.

Maybe I should try that NAPA thing

The engine went in today... Should be a little while before it is running though. I hope to have the car on the road sometime around the end of November...

trust me when I say thought that the box felt MUCH better than a stock box... I drove a challenger with one of these boxes and it felts good (at least in the parking lot.) I drove Chris's car (he posted earlier) and he pulled his from a salvage yard.

How much help would adding a bunch of positive caster be for the standard box feel. Say 4-6 degrees.

It will certainly make the car feel more stable at speed, but will do little for the steering over assist. It may work the pump harder.
