Rear View Mirror
« on: October 13, 2007 - 05:21:34 PM »
Hey guys,

My rearview mirror fell off the windshield and i was wondering what was the best glue to use for the metal piece that glues to the windshield that the mirror slides down on. Also, what's the best solvent to use to get the old glue residule off? Thanks

I have always just used what ever they sell at the local auto parts store.  Before removing the old glue though, I would take a marker and trace the location on the outside of the windshield.  Then take a razer blade and scape off the old glue, clean it with alcohol or thinner, and glue the metal piece back on, per the instructions, and use a piece of tape to hold it in place.
