Carter Carb
« on: November 25, 2007 - 12:23:45 PM »
I have a Carter carb that has been sitting for a while.  I was told when I bought it that it was 625 cfm unit.  It has an electric choke, and a Mopar type throttle linkage stud.  The casting number on the front of the carb is 587  9636SA.  The numbers on the throttle plates read:  2-289 for the primaries, and 2-281 for the secondaries.  The secondaries are larger in diameter.  There does seem to be any play in the throttle shafts.  I was told that the carb worked when it was removed from a vehicle.  I never used it and it has sat around for a while so it may need new gaskets and internally inspected at the very least.  I am not making any promises on this as I never used it.  I was thinking $75 or best offer.  Shipping will be extra.  PM me if interested, or if you want to see it in person (locally).  Sorry, but I can't do pic's right now.
