70 hoods did not have the wrinkle zones on the under brace, 71-74 hoods had them. These were added so the hood would buckle in an acident.

I am a numbers guy and my GC is all numbers,but.....WHile my stock flat hood is painted and ready for the reassemble from my resto.I would like a cuda hood as well.SO since the hood wont be original,i dont think it would matter which year.I will be able to switch from stock flat to rallye if i want to.

Here's something else to look for if you want a '70 specific hood. '71 and up to ? have a "PLYMOUTH" emblem on the front left corner. That emblem has 3 mounting studs and the underside of the hood would have 3 round locator "cutouts" in that area. A 1970's "PLYMOUTH" emblem was in the grille so you wouldn't have those circles there. Hope I describe this well enough without pics. Also, I think later built '70's started having those crumple zones incorporated

Thanks everyone and thanks for the offer 2000gt.There was a few on epay, could have had one for 310 delivered but again I dont like having a hood shipped because it more likely will have damage.I did go to Spring fling in LA saturday(4 hour drive each way-YUK!but it was fun) and picked up a very straight 71-74 hood. I didnt care if it was a 70 since my GC came with a flat hood anyway. It has the hole for the plymouth emblem,no hood pin holes and no holes where the 340,383,440 emblems go in the bulge, which is what i want.Got it for 250 with scoops, its very nice condition.
