Brake booster constant pressure/vacuum??
« on: November 06, 2007 - 09:06:08 PM »
I'm wanting to add a brake booster to my Challenger because with those four week drum brakes it's rather difficult to bring her to a stop once she's moving.  I met a guy who just did a rebuild and added a new brake booster that it wasn't enough.  Is there a way to increase vacuum or pressure to above 10? I think he said something about constant pressure, but wasn't sure what he was talking about.  Can anyone provide some insight?
Thanks

if you have power steering you can install a Hyraboost system from a GM astro van or similar , this will stop you better then the vacuum booster

From what I've read you would be better off investing in disk brakes rather than a power booster for drums.

 :iagree:
the upgrade to discs is virtually mandatory , you can use manual discs or upgrade to a vacuum booster or Hydraboost
