E-body antenna bracket???
« on: November 10, 2007 - 08:44:14 PM »
Does anyone know if there is a bracket inside the fender where the hole is for the antenna on a e-body?  I just have the whole for my antenna and nothing else underneath to mount my antenna. I was told that there was a bracket inside the antenna to help mount it. If there is a bracket if anyone knows what it's called or has a part number please let me know. (or one for sale) Thanks

I have an NOS replacement fender that doesn't have one either.  I listen to so little radio (as opposed to CDs) that I'm thinking about leaving it out.

You mean the antenna hole? I don't have one of those either.

If I didn't have a hole I wouldn't even worry about the attenna. I never listen to the radio when I drive the Cuda.

Just an observation, the pic. you posted shows an electric antenna, maybe this bracket is only used for that application and not for a standard antenna,

  :iagree:

I have no bracket, but my antenna mounted just fine. This was probably 4-5 years ago that I installed mine, but the price for the original wasn't cheap.  :grinno:

Thanks Mike ...if you mounted it without a bracket then I must be doing something wrong.

I'm just wondering if we have the same antennas. Does your's screw on to the base? I can remove mine to put on a car cover. Maybe I should go take a pic of mine to help you. It will have to wait a day or so.
