Yikes Dave!  That's definitely quite the incident that'll be burned into your memory for a while.  The worst I had was the time I was on the motorcycle with my dad and came across an accident.  I was the only one to see it as I noticed two high beam lights in the trees that looked like one of those light beacons on Batman.  I mentioned it to my dad and shortly after I saw a woman laying face down on the shoulder of the road.  After being able to get someone else to stop (we flagged about four cars before one actually slowed down as I finally stood in the middle of the road) and one of them happened to be a nurse.  I helped her roll the woman onto her back and that's when we realized she had been thrown from the Jeep during one of the several rolls and had a slit throat (Saw graphic).  That was years ago, but I can still remember everything exactly as it was.
It's sad to say this, but at least it's one less drug dealer out on the streets, but it seems there are plenty more to replace his place in the drug chain.

Yep Dave, that is reason for a couple days of R and R my friend. How did you determine that he was actually dead, as opposed to just a stinking ole druggie asleep or passed out?  :scared:

Wow 4C that has to of probably rack up as one of the most bizarre episodes for you while working . When I read your post I thought it might've been suicide.

Having been a locksmith for years I used to forclose a lot of homes for the bank years ago when the economy was bad here so I was in a similar position a lot of the time & often homes that were supposed to be empty were not when I got there & while I have run into some unusual situations I never found any bodys thankfully . This you will remember for a long time  ... I am glad nothing more serious happened at least , be careful in the future though

I have the unfortunate Luck [?] of regularly being first at the scenes of fatality accidents
I have seen a body cut in 1/2 with the spine pulled out of the lower body stlll attached to the torso as a person was throw 1/2 way out of a rolled car , I have seen a semi run over a pick up with a combined speed of over 100 mph , the box was 1/8 mile up the highway upside down , the windsheild was pinned to the front of the semi & the frame was under the drive axles ,3 died , I saw a small import car lose control on ice & get hit by 2 semis going opposite directions , the whole car was crushed into a balll 6 ' round, I also saw a Laguna S3 hit  5 L Mustang head on with a combined speed of 60 MPH  , the Laguna was barely damaged the mustang was crushed , the engine was between the seats & the fire wall was crushed back to half way up the Guys thighs , I stayed with him until the firemen arrived to cut him out , he was in a coma for 30 days before he died, there have been at least 8 more accidents where I have been first at the scene , the advantages [not] of driving in the oil patch at all hours of the day on ice roads .
Please be careful out there

That would have spooked me too.  Just be glad he wasn't still alive, hopped up on something, and pi$$ed off when you went in.

That's how I thought the story was going to go!
4C, I think you made out MUCH better.
