Converting A/C to non

ok, my challenger is all apart, so now's an easy time to figure something out.

I have an A/C car, what interior parts are different (besides the dash) or additional to that of a Non-A/C car.

Any A/C part for the engine bay is long gone as I can see it

2 things I can think of here, but I have no solution.

The non-AC cars had 2 vents that were opened by cables near the bottom center of the dash, in front of the console.

The AC cars had 2 additional hoses connected to the firewall, so I believe you will be in the same boat as me in that the 2 outer nozzles on the passenger's side of the firewall will have no connection. I just put plastic plugs over them to try and hide the ugliness.

Mike, got any pics of the plugs you put over your a/c connections on the firewall?  I would like to do the same and wanted to see what it look like.

If the car is apart and you want to go non-a/c just weld up the firewall and redrill the necessary holes.  You will have to grind the lip off of the blower motor area before filling the hole.  That is the most difficult part.  The non-a/c firewall does not have a lip for the blower motor area.

The heater control switches and bezel is also different from a standard a/c switch.

I have a Non A/C Dash pad for sale ... it is in good condition, just a few scratches... lmk if you are interested.

thanks guys!  When I get closer to interior time I'll start wheeling/dealing for the parts.  If I was to get my dash pad recovered, could I get it recovered as a non a/c?  I have two of them, and they are both pretty shot...

oh yeah, and I'm not going to re-do the engine compartment, its ready for paint as is!  (all new metal already installed!!)

If you get a new dashpad you usually send your old one in as a core and just tell them you want a NON A/C dash pad back instead. They won't argue...

.. and the core doesn't even need to have the padding on it, as they replace it.

Does anyone know if there is some kind of plug that can be threaded on the A/C lines on the firewall. I am in the same boat, trying to pretty up the A/C lines some since I won't be putting the rest of the A/C back on.
Surely there HAS to be something that can be used to thread on the lines, instead of covering with a rubber plug.
