Need help with 4 speed value...
« on: January 05, 2008 - 11:55:24 AM »
Hi all... I generally don't like these kinds of posts, but I am trying to determine the approximate value of a particular 833 four speed to fit my barracuda. It is in good working order, includes the shifter (no handle) and small block bellhousing. It is believed to have very few miles since rebuild, but I have no way to verify this. We are going to take the side cover off and have a peek, but neither seller or buyer are transmission experts, so this may not prove anything. Is $500 a fair price? I haven't really been able to find what these actually sell for. I know that value is all relative, but I don't want to see anyone get gypped on the deal. Anyway, thanks for any input...

If it's the correct yr model bellhousing for your car and in fact in good working order, thats a very good deal far as I'm concerned. I'd buy it if I needed one :2thumbs:
