NZ Mopar Registry Article
« on: December 12, 2007 - 10:39:21 PM »

Hey guys, thought I'd share with you an article that was done on my NZ Mopar Registry in one of New Zealands leading classic car/V8 magazines - NZV8. It's just about the person behind it (me), what it covers, what it's about, how and why I started it and a little on myself. Hopefully you can read them. I hosted them on my site so no bandwidth etc are wasted here. I'm happy with the article, good to get Mopar out down under and also spread the word about the registry to help me and the Mopar fans in NZ gather greater statistics on what we have roaming the black top of New Zealand roads. Anyhow, thought I'd share it as it's not everyday my mug gets into a magazine lol. PS - No laughing please.  :grinno:

Cheers,
Carlwalski

Thats Really cool mate. I just read it on NZMF and I, as well as all the members there, know just how much time and effort you have put into the registry and forum, and its great to see you finally getting the recognition for it. What you have done is really amazing and the registry will be an asset to the NZ mopar community for years to come.

Cheers.

Thanks Andrew, means a lot. I remember talking to you via PM on here before I started it all and I was saying it would be good to start something a little closer to home. 18 months later and we're well underway and moving forward. I always like to inform the NZ Mopar public and "members" that it's our site, not mine. I made it, sure, but it's for everyone to use and enjoy. We'll just laugh together, have fun and watch it progress over the years. I'm young so it gives me many a year to watch over it and make sure we're on track.

Thanks everyone else, too kind.

:clapping: :clapping: That's way over the top! Congratulations!  :cooldancing::clapping: :clapping:

I do have to comment on a couple of things:

“It had Mopar and AC/DC badges and emblems sewn on the sleeves, collar and front.”

5 bucks says they are on his shorts, too! :smilielol:

“… and fulfill that dream of driving down Route 66.” :dunno:

Wrong road my friend. It should be driving down Interstate 76 on your way to Carlisle! :bigshades:

That does seem like a lot of work and a job well done. :2thumbs:

Very cool Carl!

You look a lot like a guy I grew up with, he even does his hair the same way you do sometimes.

Thanks everyone, this board has a lot to do with it even though you may not know it. Without the help and support one so young could easily get swayed away and find other interests but not me, this board along with the passion I have for Mopars keeps me awake wanting to do more for the brand. Rest assured my American Amigos, Mopar is alive and well in New Zealand. ;)

AC/DC fan parking lol. Yeah, they took some rather weird shots of stuff at the house and I was hoping they wouldn't put some in. Like the model cars but I guess they're trying to show people what kind of person I'm am.  :dunno: But, I'm happy with the photos they choose and the overall spread. Felt lime a bit of plonker getting my photos taken though,  smile, move here, do this. I just wanted it over and done real quickly eh LOL
