Here's what I know....The car was an original B.C. car. The original owner used to work on a tug boat and drowned back in the 70's. Apperently the car sat and the motor froze. I found the car in 97 and bocked at the price of $5000 needing some work. The guy who had it then wanted to take all the goodie's off of it ( sway bars, fish gill rocker mouldings, fog lights, 15" rally's, console, rally gauges, switch trunk lids, cuda hood, hood pins, sure-grip, ect.) and sell it to me as a rolling chassis.)
Then in 2000 the car came up for sale again from another guy...walked in and instantly knew the car and bought it. As a roller missing some pieces.
Took it home and started the disassembly and droped it off at the body shop. IT had some pin-hole rust in the lower 1\4s and that ugly sunroof. Against what everyone told me I had it painted back the orig. Citron mist. Replaced the rear seat skin, put a headlinner in (first time doing one ever!), put on those large base mirrors, and what ever good stuff I could find to make it whole again and installed a known good 340 and 727 and called it a day. Turned out pretty good for a guy who was only 19-20 years old when I did it. Since my resto jobs have been allot more detailed buy I did like that car and only drove it about 20 miles before it found a new home. Take care of her for me!
