Thank you all for the responses. It seems my main problem with the drop base is clearing the choke, but with all the suggestions, I think I'll get the situation figured out. And also, it's been years and years since I've had a reason to buy playdough! Happy Holidays.

Just steal it from your kids! "Dad, my lime green playdough is black and greasy!"

PS I also had to do some minor Mods on the carb linkage, and make a little indent on the drop base so the linkage would not hit. Also, if you need to have a 2 inch air cleaner, at least get one of those K&N type lids for extra air filter surface area.
