I'm shooting for 1/2" clearance on mine.  But I've read many times this is only needed for the smaller rim sizes, 14 or 15".  With the larger diameter rims, there is much less sidewall to flex.

With an 18" rim I've heard 1/4" is plenty.

Cool, thanks. I measure 6" BS and 5 3/4" FS. For the width tire I want to run and to maintain at least .5 inch clearance will probably need to use the 1" relocation kit. That page is pretty slick and I should be able to plug in my final values and determine the largest tire I can run. Chances are, the TT2 is going to be a custom offset becuase I dont see the 6 3/8 BS working with the tire sidewall clearance.

How about height? What is generally considered safe for stock springs and fender wells?  26"?
