    I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but my eyes are actually a little cloudy as I type this. I just got home a few hours ago from the last cruise of 2007 for me.  The shows have pretty much wrapping up, the cruises are ending in my neck of the woods (Chicago area) I took this artsy shot of the sun setting in front of my car at the cruise.

    That picture was actually from last weeks cruise.  The weather was just a bit chilly then but not bad. The turnout was OK, not great.  The last date for this cruise was tonight, and I figured chances were it would be cold or wet, or both, so the odds were that last week would be the end of the season.
    Fortunately I was very wrong, it was actually warm and humid tonight!! July like weather.  And just about everyone made it out for the last night.  My buddy Glen brought his '71 340 4 speed convertible out and we parked together.  There was another '71 convertible there too, a half dozen Challengers total and one 'cuda.  Mopar turnout was excellent!

    For 2007 I took my car to a half dozen car shows and a bunch of local cruises.  Mostly this Friday night cruise in Rolling Meadows IL.  This is one of the biggest cruises in the Chicago area, on a good night sometimes 500+ cars show up there! It is less than 5 miles from my house so through the season I tried to get my car out there at least every other week.
    The past location of this cruise was not going to be available this year, so for 2007 the Meijer's store graciously invited the cruise to move to their parking lot.  This move worked out well, and I was pleased to hear a few weeks back that Meijers has invited us back for 2008!  Thanks to Meijers, I shop there often now, one hand washes the other!!
    I'll have the car out for a few more drives before I change the oil, put Stabil in the gas tank, and cover her up for her winter hibernation.  May seems a long way off but I can't wait for the 2008 season!

    Yeah I think we are about done here in Michigan too.  Although its about 85* today and suppose to be close to 90* tomorrow!   :bananasmi
