Column gearshift linkage won't clear extractors - do I need it?
« on: December 27, 2007 - 06:59:14 PM »
Column gearshift assembly won't go back in to the car as the TTI extractors now ovccupy the same space (swap from a 318/904 to a 383/727) and also missing a mounting position for the trans side bracket anyway.  Do I need to install this anyway?  What problems or fixes needed if I don't use the column lockout?  I think I read that it was a 70-only thing anyway??

it is not nessisarly needed, the column will rotate trapping the key , you just have rotate the lower column to remove the key

Ken, By the time you've got it running, I should be home.  Happy to then buy you a beer and send you back to Brissy.  Mopar guys are so helpful! :roflsmiley:

Anything to help out Mark, I would nearly bend over backwards just to help you out.  But if a snake bits you on the butt, don't ask me to suck the poison out. :nono:
