Six Pack intake gaskets?

I found where you should put a set of fiber gaskets on both sides of the valley pan gasket, is this right? there is a set of mopar performance gaskets sold  for this purpose are they the best way to go or is there better ones out there?

Order the Fel Pro 1215 [440], & use the gaskets between the pan & heads , I leave out the upper gasket , it makes it too hard to get the intake back on

OK, My engine is painted up show quality and in the car so do I dare just put the gaskets between the pan and head without replacing the pan with a new one? I hate to replace it if I don't have to but I don't want a vac leak either.

you should be fine But I would paint th new pan & install it as it aslo blocks the heat crossover port which is a big advantage

I have the block off pan in it now, I use Permatex for this kind of stuff most of the time, is that the best thing to use on an intake or is there a better route?

I found that using the gasket set (one on eitherside of the intake portion of the valley pan) cause a mismatch between the intake and the the head.  I have a number of problems trying to get a good fit.  You will also find that the bolt holes likely will not line up - and require the intake holes to be opened up to allow you to get the bolts in.  What was recommended to me and what I am going to do when I reassemble in a week is to use the valley pan only, use the Grey RTV (Permatex) - also HONDABOND is also recommended - on the ends and top and bottom of the pan forming a bead to ensure a good seal - let it set up for a day prior to running the motor.

using both paper gasket sets is a challenge to get the intake back on but it can be done.  Just an extra beer and a little more swearing.   

Ive been using the purple paint-on gasket stuff by permatex in between the heads and pan and gaskets and intake.  Stays tacky.

I rarely havce a problem with 1 set of the paper gaskets , Felpor does sell the side gaskets separatly from the intake pan but I do not have th e# handy
you can start 2 bolts on 1 side & pry the intake down with the heat riser clearance hole
