Need Help - 73 Rear Bumper Question

old-school..I was not joking when I ask the question, I got my car few months ago,I was aware of the 73 bumperets because the previous owner give them to me, but I was not aware of the cutouts until you posted the pics.
So..I find out now that the rear valance was modified..I did't have any idea before reading your post that show how muchI know

I think you wil find out that the small chrome guards are no longer being made. I couldn't find them available when I did mine.

tThis is my 74 with a 72 repo bumper on 70 brakets, no guards, so I welded the slots closed.

I vote you should weld up the slots, repaint the vallence.
