I just took another look at mine. It has side steel inserts with threaded holes, and is meant to be used with the lower compression springs. It has the holes cut for front hood pins and for the windshield spray nozzles, and also has the cowl cutouts with screens installed. I've seen other hoods with some or none of these features.
By the way, the underside is finished and looks pretty good. So far, I'm pretty happy with it. And it was cheaper than Y1.
I'll let you know how the fit is when I have a chance to install it. At least the pics on ebay show the hood installed and sitting flat with the fenders.
