Is the Fairfield that you are talking about located at exit 242 (Harrisburg West) where it crosses 83?

From everything I've read so far, I'm worried about being jail house bound. :22yikes: :drunk:

Jim,

Here is a link to it. I believe you are correct. It is one exit down from the PA. Turnpike on I-83. I hope to be making reservations shortly.

LOL, That's were my son and I have dinner at the restaurant right beside that hotel. Small world. We have always stayed at the Day's Inn on the southern side of the turnpike on 83. I think I've seen in the back that they have a pool table. That must be the place.

Thanks Mike :2thumbs:

We go every year and stay at the comfort Inn I believe it is called. Not that far away from the fairground and it is nice.

I think the reason that most of the members like the Fairfield is because we just about get a parking lot to ourselves.  Thats some relief when your car is sitting out in a parking lot over night and it usually never leaves the garage.  :grinyes:

Although my car is in pieces, that is the big question that I wondered about when taking a car to an event like this. Overnight parking. I don’t usually sleep well anyway but that would keep my eyes open all night long. Even if it wasn’t someone trying to steal parts, the other that I would be concerned about is the paint being keyed. You never know.

With so many CC people gathered all together at one location, what about the night owls and the early risers overlapping and playing watch dog in the parking lot.

Just my :2cents: .

Sorry Mike, but I just loved April's dog houses... :roflsmiley:
Looks like she needs to update it though... And I see a vacancy. :P

Last year we just about had some one watching all night. That Saturday night I was up almost all night. And when I finally went to bed, others were just getting up.

Ok guys,
I pre-registered for the All Chrysler Nationals Show Field. It will be the longest drive for my mopar also. (from Virginia). I called the Fairfield Inn at exit 242 Harrisburg West (that is mentioned in this link) and it seems that it is now a Quality Inn. They didn't have any record of a block of rooms reserved by C.C.com. He said it may be that folks are just reserving individual rooms?? Seemed liked a good price, but I wanted to make sure that this was the place where everybody is staying before I went & booked a room!! So is this the hotel where everybody is staying that is mentioned in this link?? It used to be fairfield, but is now Quality Inn???

Matt,

The Hotel reservations thread is "stickied" at the top of this board.
