As long as there have been forums in the realm of the www there have been robots, spam bots, virus', you name it. The robots are fine as they allow topics and cache pages to show up when people enter Google searches, etc. The spam bots are the shlt stirrers lol. They automatically register usually, 95% of the time with such a BS user name like "XXXsxlady" and a bogus email that Ray Charles could spot from the moon like "xhhhsxisus@333fbdn.com". That's why Admin had to have new users first be accepted otherwise this place would get flooded with Viagra posts, sex posts, adult video links you name it, trust me.

Yup, you'll notice on the main forum index page above all the users online it reads:

10 Guests, 21 Users
Users active in past 15 minutes:

The users are genuine users who are logged in. The guests are a mixture of spam, robots and actual "guests". Administration and Moderators can see the IP addresses and work out which of those Guests are actually Guests, give or take some that aren't real but you can still get a very good estimate from the IP addresses.
