personally I would use a Lunati VooDoo grind over the comp

I'll be using a Voodoo on my 340 when I swap cams, might go a little smaller though, since I do alot of freeway driving and don't have the gears to fit that cam.

Chryco what lunati would you recommend for a mild to sum what aggressive street machine, that will be a daliy drive and still have some what decient gas millage >4 mpg on highway. Yes thats what I was getting previously.  And then what springs, since they dont have a package.  And finally what converter?  I will be keeping the stock heads, and dont think I will add a shift kit or a tranny cooler.  And the rear will be redone in the fall so as long as it will work what I currently have for a couple of months then work a little better with a new rear end then even better.

I can get a grind # , I do not have a Lunati catalog handy rigth now but something in the 222-230* range @ .050 with around .500 lift & 110 Cl with headers or 112 CL with manifolds

Sounds like a good cam! Actually, those are just about my specs on the Hughes grind except for the 114 degree LSA.
Mine specifically is 222 degrees intake and 228 deg. echaust and .550 lift.

Engle Used to grind Hughes cams , I still use a lot of Engle grinds , but I buy direct from Engle Not Hughes
 the Lunati VooDoo grinds I believe are designed By Harold who Used to own UltraDyne CAms , they are very similar to the Engle grinds , both work great , I highly recommend either see which offer the best price , the advantage with Engle is if you want a split profile or different CL they will grind it any way you want for the same price , I use a Lot of the Engle K56 & K58 hyd cams

both the springs & converter will depend on the cam grind you use , either Lunati or Engle can recommend & or supply a matching spring for the cam choice , I will have the new Lunati catalog in a few days , I ordered it today  , I also confirmed today that  Harold the mastermind behind the UltraDyne grinds designed all the Lunati VooDoo grinds so that will explain why they work so well  :2thumbs:
 the converter will need to match the cam so you may or may not need a higher stall
