Big Mike:

     Can't you grind off the galvanized area where you are going to lay your bead and then weld?  It's a good idea to be outside in the fresh air, though.

the only way i would weld it is with a fresh air system and outside. i don't think grinding will get it off, or that's what i heard.....

galvanized can be spot welded, but I dont recomend inhaling the fumes.  with the claw looking spot welder.
