sounds like your transforming to a 'cuda with the gills, red bar, fog lamps etc. Do you already have the black tail panel and 4 piece chrome trim, that would be one of the top cosemetic things I would do too. Definately auto-4spd, or even 5spd!!

Thanks for all the feedback guys- It seems like the mechanical stuff tops the list around here.  I will post more photos when it comes out of storage in the spring.

apederso2-----The only numbers on the car that match are the cowl, VIN and Title   the car was born a Barracuda, but is being transformed to be more like the real 440 6bbl Cuda  I had after high school - only nicer than that one was.  I intend to drive it the way I drove that one, and it didn't make sense to spend numbers matching money on something that will only be on a trailer when I break it.  I have restored numbers matching cars with stuff like NOS ball joints and dated hose clamps and love those kind of cars too.

1BADFISH------The car already has the black tailpanel and other emblems and stuff but building a brand new 70 Cuda just the way I want it gets expensive pretty quick.  Because the car is currently like new and completely useable, I need to pick and choose a little bit as I add the finishing touches.  It is sometimes tough to explain to the wife why I need to take it apart again and spend more on it.  I'm sure most of you can relate. :-\

apederso2-  I definitely agree with Hemiken - That white and plum crazy color combo is really striking.
I wasn't going to reply here, but figured hijacking my own thread was probably OK.

4 speed!  Do that first, you won't regret it.
I did it a few years ago and have loved every minute of it!

I have decided to assemble the parts needed for the 4 speed conversion.
I will get them a couple pieces at a time because that doesn't upset marital bliss the way $2000 - $4000 chunks tend to.
Some of the simple bolt on stuff like the hood pins and go wing might come first for the same reason, and because the car will stay useable while I add them.  I figure the 4 speed, and then the 6 BBL.  Probably the shaker, and maybe the bumpers in a couple seasons.

Thanks for the input guys.  I will be sure to take lots of photos as upgrades get added.

Gotchya.
Go hoodpins first then.  Personally i think they look good.  Just remember they are there when opening and closing the hood.
