Cool, never seen that before.   :2thumbs:

U - C - I codes to indicate USA, Canada or International sale were used at least through 1980. The "E" VON with the "I" was used at least through '75.  :2cents:

The E in the VON also pegs it as an export car. Export cars did not necisarlily leave the US, if the car was ordered from overseas by a US serviceman through the Chrysler Military Sales Program it would have been tagged as an export car - international order car.

US servicemen could order cars from overseas and specify a dealership of their choice where they would like to pick the car up upon there return stateside.

I have seen quite a few "export" cars with the N95 emmissions required for sale in California.

I had a 440-6 4 speed #'s 70 Cuda that was an export car that was ordered by a serviceman.

I talked with an original owner of a 70 Cuda who ordered his car thru the PX in Greenland when he was in the Air Force...came home to the US and went to detroit and picked the car up at the factory...a chrysler rep picked him up at the airport. when he looked at the car, there was a problem with the drip trough molding...the chrysler rep had them fix it right there, and while they waited he took this guy to lunch. great story from an original owner!  BTW, the car was a F8 car...i asked him why that color?  he said he was tired of seeing snow and wanted to see green grass...so green seemed like a good color...LOL
