3:23's ?
« on: January 31, 2008 - 03:59:54 PM »
Anyone tell me if you can get 3:23 gears for a 41 case 8 3/4 ? (and where to get them) Lowest numerical I've been able to find new so far are 3:55's but the gears in there now are 2:94's, seems like a there should be something available in between.

Yeah, tried them first actually Carl. I've looked at most of the 'major players' in the drivetrain line and a lot of them don't even bother with the 41. I can live with 3:55's just would have preferred 3:2's and  thought if anyone knew if they were available it would be someone here.

:clapping: I will double check but I think I have original used 3:23 gears here for a 741 case if you need some.

Cowboy - thanks for the adress, same problem though - right ratio, just not for a 41 case  :(

HemiKen - Mate, if you can find those old gears (and they're not too worn!) I'll certainly consider them.

I've got some from a 3rd member I just picked up from a swap meet.  Don't know the condition of them as I haven't torn it apart, but I'd be glad to take a look and send pics if you're interested in buying them.   :2thumbs:

I have the original 3:23s in my 4 speed challenger, I don't care for the high first gear and the racing speed reverse. maybe they'ld be ok for an automatic but I wish I had 3:55s.

Hemiken is going to hook me up. As he says, he's not too far away.
Thanks everyone who responded, I appreciate you taking the time to help a 'down under' Mopar bud out.
