Looking for a 383 in the south east area. I am in Panama city and would like to pick it up. just something rebuildable as i dont have much to spend.

Have you tried www.craigslist.org?   I just picked up locally a 383 (minus the heads but everything else, including alt. and power steering plus all brackets, intake/exhaust manifolds/carb), 727 tranny and rebuilt kit for $100. 

Was a 383 originally in your car?
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

still is, i want one to build a 431 stroker and put the numbers engine on a stand incase i have to sell the car one day, then i still have the useable numbers engine.

Look up a member here named v8440 and see if you can get through to him. He is in montgomery al and said he had a 68 383 newport he was going to part out. He is just a short ways away from you. :2thumbs:

couldnt make out the vin
