B-body question - Need answer today please

Are the doors the same for a 69 and 70 Roadrunner / GTX/ Satelitte? I know the fenders will work but I thought someone told me once that the door latch part is different??? but that might have ben for a 68???

Crap, I should know, but I dont.  My cousin have a '69 RR, and the other has a '70 RR.  Cant help right now, sorry.  When do you need to know by?  I'm sure I could find out by tomorrow.  Are you buying a door or something?

What would you have to do to make that work?? I am going to Texarkana tomorrow to buy a truck and there was a door on e-bay that happened to be there as well.I am in no hurry but I will need one for my 70 RR project that I will start next winter.

I dont think there's a difference. 68 was a little diff...

There was something about the door handle push button. One being black and the other year chrome as I recall from a few years back

it sounds like any differences are only cosmetic when it comes to door lock position. they may in fact be exactly the same. maybe look each one up on ebay and see. anyway, the door lock position wont effect you if it is different. The outer shell would be where your worry would be and i beleive they are the same in that area.

On the 68 and I believe the 69 the lock is to the rear of the door. On a 70 it's almost in the middle of the door. This my 68 door. Also on the early 68s the pudh button to open the door is black and no chrome.

The 68 doors have the lock knob at the rear of the door. The 69-70's have the knob further forward. They will interchange. It was moved forward to make it harder to pop the lock open with a coat hanger thru the gap between the front/rear window of the hardtops.

I had to modify my post...the pic below shows the more forward position..only 68 is at the back, so 69-70 is the same

i think he read my post and the one above before i unfroze my brain and corrected what i wrote. I had written that 68-9 were the same and 70 was diff...but as you can see the 69 and 70's are the same. The 68's are the only one with the lock knob at the rear of the door

and besides, even if you had one door with the lock at the back and the other in the middle, i bet 90% of people would never notice...

Thanks for all the help guys. I'll see if I can buy the door and if all goes well I will come home tomorrow with a new truck (at least new to me). I am going to buy a 2004 dodge ram 2500. I will use it to pull my cuda
