It seems like that lower trim never fits right.  Almost all the cars I see at cars shows fit like that.   :(

If you don't get anywhere with Allan I'd try using a heat gun (on lowest setting) on the lower corner to get the vinyl to flex enough to allow the trim to "re-mould" the vinyl to the proper contour.

I spoke with Alan on the phone today the they said they would replace my pad with a new one.  He also said the they are producing the pad themselves now (as opposed to a third party) and the quality is much better - they started about 2 months ago. He said they have produced 300 pads in the last couple of weeks and are stocking them for the shows. He was very nice to work with now let's just keep our fingers crossed that the new pad looks great and gets here soon. I will keep you posted.

By the way - thanks to Nick for sending my pictures to Alan. I think it made the conversation easier and he said that they have been checking thier new pads for the issue and all seems to be good.

Mark,

I bought mine from them at least 4 years ago. A little trimming around the AC vents and gauges was all I had to do. I can't complain.

Glad I could help out, I talked with him on the weekend and brought him up to speed about the problem and I told him you would be calling........

I got my new dash from Ultimate Rides and it is MUCH better. I had to do some minor trimming but that was it. Here are some pics. I know nothing will fit as good as the orignial but this is good for aftermarket.

They are 3 1/2 Boston Acoustic. They required me to make somewhat large holes in the dash frame

Cannot go wrong with Boston Acoustics  :2thumbs: I have bought several sets of components including the Z-6's and they all rock. You guys are making me nervous with all these ill fitting dash pads. I bought a YO pad almost a year ago. I guess I should pull it down out of the closet and put the trim and A/C ducts in to see what kind of problems I am going to run into  :scared:

Thanks Nick. I am much happier with this one. Not sure waht was going one with the first one but I could tell that the trim work on this one was much cleaner, maybe an improvment since they started making them for themselves. Good luck with the group buy.
