    How much lighter is the fiberglass bumper as opposed to chrome steel???

    If you use the glass brackets too , about 30 lbs per bumper. Considering your bumpers have the steel plate insert in them too. You can also cut the impact beams out of the doors, but you will not be protected from side impacts. That is worth around 38 lbs also.

    I can pick my fiberglass bumper up with two fingers I would have to put it on a scale for ya.

    Lets see I weigh 200lbs subtract 30lbs after I diet making me about 170 lbs with the bumper and me on the scale we weigh in at 203 - after i diet we will be 173
    so the bumper is 3 lbs :clapping:

    Sorry, I had to laugh!  Are you trying to convince yourself about the dieting or is it just wishful thinking.  I have the same wishful thoughts all the time.  I agree though, the bumpers are probably 3 to 5 pounds each for the fiber glass, 25 to 30 pounds for chrome.  The steel ones will protect ya a little better from all the other crazies out there though.
