Shorter links might be necessary to put the bar back in the neutral position for proper travel both ways on a lowered car.
You do want to keep the bar in a more neuteral spot so it will have sufficient up and down travel when the suspension goes up and down. Depending on what you have in the same vicinity, you may need to shorten the links a little bit or a lot to allow the bar the same range of motion. A decent grade 5 or better bolt will do the trick.
