Body and paint opinions
« on: April 25, 2008 - 11:55:55 AM »
Well It's time to get the nasty part done on my Challenger.  New 1\4's and trunk floor installed and time to get the beast straitn'd out.  But theirs been lots of opinions on paint guns......  This is my first time doing the whole show myself and was hopeing some of you might be able to give a few words of advise on what to look for in a paint gun or any other body work supply's.

I usually farm out the body process but you got to learn sometime.  And then I know their is no corners cut and things are done right.

I'm in the begining stages of trying to repaint my cuda also. I am going to strip my car to bare metal and then get the car in primer myself but let somebody that knows what they are doing put the color/clear on. Go to www.autobodystore.com for a lot of great information and prices on materials. I just bought a bunch of stuff from Len and he was good to work with.

A little business I've found a lot of decent products at reasonable prices.

You don`t need a $600 gun to paint a car,I still use my old Devilbiss JGA siphon feed gun with good results.I am going to buy an HVLP gun to cut down on materials and overspray...someday!I second the autobodystore for great info and honest answers to any questions you have.
