Does my ars sag?

I'm thinking of getting new leaf springs to get the back end up higher without using air shocks.  Right now the top inside lip of the wheel arch is   26 1/2 " high with 275/60/15 tires.  A chart I read says they are 28" tall but they are not although they are inside the wheel well.  When I crank up the air shocks 3/4" the car looks good.  If it sat 1" taller ie 27.5" it would be perfect.  The only question is if the 26.5" height is stock or has it sagged from stock height?????  I'm wondering if I should get stock +1" or +2".  Any thoughts?

Hard to say. Mopar never specified a ride height for the rear of the car. It just was were it was.

Easiest thing to do is adjust the front for the rake you want.

I'm not really after more rake necessarily.  I just want to get some clearance above the rear tires.  I think a little space looks better. :)

I have 275/60's and my back is 28 1/4" and the front is 225/70's @ 26 1/2".
You can have your springs re-arc at any good spring shop. Just measure the car with all your weight it it fuel-spare tire, jack etc.
Put it where you like it the best....

I used to use a 3/4 ton chevy truck spring added to my originals. they are a bit thicker and have a bit more arch to them.  Stock leafs non hp on e bodies is like 5 and 6. So I step up to 7 and 8 this way and it make the ride height more stable and helps on the 60'

Thanks for the info vinb.  The local shop says the spring probably won't hold the new arc if they are old.  They can add an extra leaf for $100/spring.  CP did recommend this option and said I could do it myself but for $200 I'll let them do it.  It will ride a bit harder.  The Espo springs will run me around $400 w/shipping.

Hey Matt,
I did my originals in 2004 and they are still on the money. I think you will be ok with them doing the springs over and yes I would add one leaf to each side.. Those new Mopar springs are not worth the money anyway. Since they are made out of the country,  I hear they are junk....

What I think is funny is 1/2 the posts on this topic are about lowering the car the other about raising....seems like some of yous guys needz to get together & swap springs.  :grinyes:
