Ring & Pinion Quality?
« on: February 24, 2008 - 11:06:21 AM »
I'm tired of the 3.23 gears in my 4spd Challenger, way too high .  I'm going with either 3.55 or 3.73 but what about the quality of some of these sets on the market like Motive Gear brand? they're cheap and that makes me wonder if they're too cheap at only $175 a set are they Chinese junk or something.

Are there any ring/pinion sets coming out of China or other "third world" manufactories?  It would be nice to know which brands to avoid.

They are a little more expensive ($200 through Summit), but I have always used Richmond Gears with no problems.
