70 Challenger Rallye Wheels
« on: April 15, 2008 - 07:13:38 PM »
I've been looking at some books I have (Ganet, etc) -- but I can't seem to find the answer.    Did '70 Challengers with Rallye Wheels have the light -- or dark -- or either -- center caps?    I seem to see them with both...... is one correct?

Thanks

People with a 71 will state that the two color rims look better., why not just paint you rims two colors........if that were really the case, then two tone cars would look better, we shouldn't match our clothes anymore.....don'tlet them fool you, 70's were perfect, big blocks, nice grill, special passenger side mirrors (not that ugly oval inside crap) special seat belts and lower dash. Let's face it, the cars went downhill after 70.  in fact, they even stopped making them because they couldn't improve on the first year :stirpot:

x 2 Looks heaps better broken up IMO.

The 70 style (although "correct" see: pffft) for my Challenger is 1 colour and bland.
I have two sets, one light and one dark, never used the light but have them none the less.

Unless you are having your car judged, go with what makes you feel good or pleasing to your eyes.   ::)
Shame on you Carl, allowing dirt to be photographed on your Lucy, she must feel good about being out in the open though, driven the way she was intended to be.      :burnout:

Jvike -- You're right!    Actually, truth be known, I'm partial to the Road Wheels (Mag 500)'s like on my '74 -- only with the chrome rings....

:lol2: Yup! Gotta drive them. If not daily them make up for it by going for 2-3 hours on Sat/Sun.
She's actually REAL dirty in that photo but still looks clean (apart from the dirt/cowpat). Perks of owning white.
