Need Air!
« on: March 30, 2004 - 02:01:16 PM »
Can anybody suggest the least expensive place to get a 4bbl single-plane performance intake for a 440?  I have mod'd my entire engine BUT the intake, and the cast iron stocker is chokin my poor baby!

Funds are at a minimum, naturally, but I need to get'r some air.  I am in Ottawa, Canada.

thanks

Yup, eBaY. But it sounds like you should save up a little more and get a good one if you've spent some dosh on the engine.
There is one on eBaY that has 1 day to go and is at $86.

Also, at Tonys parts, there's a page of intakes...

http://www.tonysparts.com/BrowseResults.asp

Go under the browse more parts pulldown menu.

Yup, they also have HEAPS of hard to find parts but be careful as they send you different itmes to what you were shown in the photos before purchase, also there item descriptions are some-what lame, I bought a "excellent condition" console got it here, the lock had no key there was a gounge(?) or scrape out of the lid and to top it off the darn lid wouldn't close!!  >:( But if you need hard to finds parts what else can you do but bite the bullet.................. :-\
