Hello gentlemen,
I am a long time Mopar fan and new member to this forum. I am in the works of purchasing a 1970 Hemicuda Convertible, Pistolgrip 4 spd with Dana 60 out back this week and I wanted to get some additional feedback. The car is actually a 1970 Barracuda convertible with a correct 1970 Hemi motor, and related drivetrain. All the trim has been converted to correct Cuda trim, it is equipped with a metal Shaker hood, not a cheap fiberglass imitation, Ralley Dash and is finished in Plum Crazy on black interior. The car's exterior and interior condition is about a high 8 or low 9 on a scale of 1-10. Mechanically it is sound, however the Hemi needs to be dialed in. It has minimal rust which is just on the rear quarters on the bottom (I realize this is typical). I do not know what state it is originally from but I do know that it is a long time california car. I have negotiated the owner's asking price down to 50k for a car that fires up and drives and is show worthy, not concourse perfect, but nice enough to show with pride (it is an older resto). Thoughts, comments??? All feedback is welcome and encouraged!!!
