tach wiring

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
mounted my tach, got 4 wires, red /blk/white & green. gussing the red is light? blk is  ground?(has a circle spade on it) I know 1 goes to the distributor (no sure which side) & the other? any help appreciated, thanks,Rich.

Red is +12 volts. Use a source that is turned on by the key. Black is ground. White is tach light for seeing in the dark. Green is the signal wire that attaches to the "-" side of the ignition coil.
