Question about Hockey Stick stripes
« on: April 17, 2008 - 05:03:04 PM »

So I'm about to apply Hockey Stick stripes to my Cuda and I have a question or two:

1.)  Is the vinyl supposed to turn/wrap the corner around the door edge and the front edge of the quarter panel?  I've seen pictures of some that wrap and some that seem to end a 1/4" before the edge of the quarter and a 1/4" from the door edge?

2.)  Is there a factory spec for how far down off of the top edge of the quarter the stripe is supposed to sit?  And how far in front of the 'character line' at the back edge of the quarter?  :clueless:

I've read/heard 3/4" from the top and 1 3/4" from the character line.  Problem is, if I put the back of the stripe 1 3/4" from the character line, the leading edge will either need to be trimmed at the front of the quarter panel or the stripe will need to 'wrap' around the dge of the quarter panel.

HELPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!   :banghead:    Thanks!

Dan - great pics.

BTW - They should wrap about 1/4" into the door jamb and around the door edge as well.
