Fusible link size
« on: May 05, 2008 - 06:37:23 PM »
My 1970 R/T 383 is missing the fusible Link. Does anybody know what gauge wire the original link was?? I need to buy a new link.

I just saw something in this month's Mopar Muscle that the fusible link was 14-guage, connecting to 10-guage, IIRC.  Unless someone else chimes in, I'll double check that when I get home from work.

Yea, that's right. The fusible link should always be 4 wire gauges smaller than the circuit it's protecting.

I know Year One sells them.   :money:

I went that route just to have a back-up.   :grinyes:
