Holes on inside wheel wells
« on: May 09, 2008 - 05:24:58 PM »
I have 4 holes on the inside wheel wells ( 2 on each side). Are they from the factory and were they covered with rubber flaps?

Blown74,

These are access panels to adjust your caster and camber when you doing a front end alignment.

The front two should have a metal plate with screws holding them on from the outside.

You are correct about the rubber flaps.  They are attached by spring clips from the outside.

Crap didn't think they were for that.  :banghead: I'm assuming one can still adjust the caster and camber if these holes are closed off??? From inside the hood.

It will make it more difficult, but it can be done.

2 part epoxy just trying to hide the seams a bit. Not sure how well its going to work. I welded 16 guage plate steel to the outside of the wheel well then applied some bondo to the inside to make it smooth. Just put a second layer on today. Maybe I should have just left the holes alone, but my neighbor thought it would look cleaner if I closed them up. What was I thinking??  :banghead:
