Heater Box Hook
« on: May 13, 2008 - 09:59:48 AM »
I have a non AC heater box that I need to do a final test fit to the firewall mod I recently did.

There's this J hook shaped bolt I have for the heater box.
But I haven't found where it mounts to support it to the inside of the firewall.

Anybody have a pic of that?

Oh wow, it's in the main opening of the vent. I would've never thought that. Thanks Slotts.

BTW, nice box.

Looks like one of those 900 dollar jobbers.

No problem. When you install the heater box, make sure that the screw is loose enough to let the hook fall back. Once mounted on the firewall, then tighten the hook into place.

I did that one a couple of years ago and sold it. $900 would have nice. :walkaway:

Thank you,

Agreed with what Slotts said - just had my heater box out of the car to replace a leaking heater core - somehow mine didn't look quite as good as the one pictured when it went back in :clueless:
