Fan Shroud-Which end is up?

So I'm doing a mock up of my aluminum radiator and shroud in the car and can't remember if the narrow (2") side or wider (3") portion of the shroud is up.  I started to put the wider end on bottom, but figured it would be good to check here before drilling any holes.  Any help     Thanks.

I got to do mine soon.  I would guess that since the engine is on a slight uphill, that the lower side would be smaller, does that make sense?

If you put the wider side up, it provides a bit more coverage over the fan blades for air flow and more protection from the rotating blades.  I have pics, but I can't tell from the angles I have.  Anyone know for sure?

I got the northern radiator shroud.  IIRC it is the same top and bottom though.

I'm installing a Smith's aluminum radiator and the stock (factory) fan shroud.  Here are a couple pics, the first two are with the narrow side up, the last two with the wide side up.  I did notice that with the wide side up, the Chrysler pentagon and part numbers are upside down.

The indents are for the stock top tank.
