Thanks again guys.

The plan is to go to paint this coming summer.
I have yet to permanently affix the roof to the body. There is a little bit of "float" that you need to make sure that the gaps around the widshield and back glass are going to be consisntant.
The only issue is the amount of welding I had to do on the roof has tweaked it a little.

Again, thanks for the props. I am no shop, but I spend time where I can

More progress on the car. just uploading some more pics.

The key is getting the car square to the world before clamping the roof on. You will all find that the glass openings will be true once the car is square.

This is a sideview shot of the car in the garage (2 pics tied together)

This will show how much work I have done on the passenger side.

Since I have clamps everywhere, this roof skin is pretty secure. I match up really well everywhere, but as I mention in a nother post, the side flanges are just a bit shorter after a lot of refinishing.
Starting clamping from the midle out.

Hi Dan,

The roof skin looks good buddy.  A h3ll of a lot easier than patching holes :2thumbs: in an original roof.

a re a few more  updates:
Got the 3/4 floorpan from Y.O. NOt quite what I thought I would get in terms of a quality part :dunno:, but for my purposes, it will do nicely.

When I opened the box it looked like someone took a hammer to it to try to redefine the  troughs forms that are closest to the firewall, as well as a fewother hit marks here and there. Whatever.
Correct size: Check.
Correct  side: Check.
Correct formation: Close enough.

So I cut the old one out with a dremel. A lottle on the slow sie, but hey, that's what I got.

Before shots: Not too bad, but it did warrant a  sizable patch to be on the safe side. You can see the floor drain area was really eaten by standing water. The bottom side was perfect.

I will have to take a detail shot of the lower corner. I approached it  a little different.

More pics to come this weekend.
