My m46 scoops should be done this week

Kenny, I'm going to go over to V8440 members work place this morning to pick up my old 410 sure grip to try out in my car. It is raining here right now. After I make this 250 mile trip, I will get some pictures for you.  I finished rebuilding my dual point just minutes before Wade came over, so I may install that tonight. I checked the usps site a minute ago, my new clutch will be here in a couple of hours. A member (DREW) is coming up sat night, we are going to try to get over to the track for the evening, then sunday morning we are going to pull the trans and swap the clutch. I am going to give him this other new assembly I have in it right now.

I found the correct lower black grill yesterday. It was NOS, but they want 850 bucks for it so I am out of pocket on that till after I get this dana paid for when it's finished next week. I also found a correct 1970 318 engine complete with a bad rod bearing for 150 bucks. I am going to buy it and put it on the stand. This way most everything will be as correct as I can make the car in the future. Plus if I get tired of fuel for the 440-6 , I can install the 318 2v and enjoy some easy future cruising. But I doubt I will take the engine out any time soon

The car looks fabulous Al. Let me ask you a question though. Would the M46 scoops have been very popular or available as a dealer add-on? The only car I ever saw with them was an FE5 70 Barracuda but there was no blackout or pinstripe, just black scoops by themselves. I was just wondering if the option might be available without the blackout or if it had to be dealer installed or something. This was in 83 or so and it sure looked to be the original paint.

Just as an update as Al may not make one tonight. for those of you that dont know, i am Drew, the member he keeps mentioning. I got a call from him earlier and he had to go back to work early for some work emergencies that came up so this weekend is out. We are hoping to have time next weekend but it is all up in the air. Darn that work.

Thanks for the update buddy............ I have been sitting hear by the computer for the last 13 hours waiting for Alan too post the pictures
