Another thing to consider is all the restoration material available now compared to when we started getting cars in the 80's with limited NOS supplies and almost no aftermarket support. Most of us older guys and gals can probably remember either passing on or parting out some cars from lack of completeness or condition. Now with all the aftermarket support we can save more cars and put them back on the road compared to parting them out. I would think a minimum for putting a young person in an older technology car would be to upgrade the braking system before anything else.

Challenger6pak, I think the reason I still occasionally do it is summed up pretty well in 73challs response. I think crashing is something that happens others - but never to mee.

Plus, all I really do is *occasionally* (maybe once every few months) hit the gas and accellerate faster than I should, and to a speed that I shouldnt be at. I would be willing to bet that 90% of boardmembers here do the same, weather they are young or old.
